So overused - - but OMG ! The Birdseed Spell story was enchanting and special. Wish I had been there. The pics, as always, were gorgeous. Chuck captured everything perfectly. The bird - - you - - you and the bird. All lovely. Thank you for sharing this. ( Maybe it was one of those birds who had been evicted from a deck in Ann Arbor ?. ) : -) :-) ;-)
Maybe channelling a little Amy Tan afterall?
Maybe 🤔 what I didn’t mention was I added a Least Bittern to my life list that day! That was definitely an Amy Tan moment.
enjoyed your Tan-like drawings on your anti-Tan post. Her recent book/journal was a Summer read.
I hope I didn’t come off as anti-Amy Tan😬 I love her book. I just didn’t love the bird poop on my deck 😉
I get it. I love my dog and I respect her her aging...although the constant cleanup is a chore.

I just love your comment 🦆 You would have loved the birding experience.
I am lucky Chuck is such a fabulous human and photographer. He captured the experience perfectly 📸
Kensington is not that far—maybe 40 minutes— and the best place to hand feed the birds is behind the visitor’s center so pretty easy to access.
