Enjoyed watching the video Chuck ! Very interesting and lots of useful nuggets in the conversation. Brenda and you do amazing work for the local artists in your city. As always thanks so much for the mention in today’s newsletter.
And… first live video I’ve tuned into. Saw you were up, Seth, thought ‘why the hell not? Just folding laundry here’ and look what happened.
Proof positive that what can often feel like just another drain on our time can instead be activating, inspiring, real world collaboration. Just gotta, MUST, connect the dots for ourselves and each other.
You are so right about the inspiration of life itself! Just coming back from our morning walk and while listening to a great podcast called A History of Rock and Roll in 500 songs and anyway...the scenes around me and the info in my ears...super inspiring :) Cheers and thanks!!
So good getting to learn more about you Chuck, other than your awesome album photos! And yes, Bree is a badass, love how small and amazing this substack community can be.
OMG. That’s so wild and bizarre and hilarious. I can’t possibly estimate how many shows and exponentially how many Black Labels (even played that stage myself waaaaaay back in the day)
Chuck! Brenda!! Still crushing on both of you, and so energized by our time together. Thank you for capturing so perfectly, Chuck, the compounding effect of connecting good after good… for saying yes to the leads and taking risks on new experiences. It sounds a little trite, and yet, we miss these exact opportunities every damn day. Let’s keep it going, my friend—we’ve got some good work to do!! 🔥

I had a crazy time there. A Russian Polka band opened up the show and set a fun tone for the night. You performed there as well, oh, do tell!
Nolan! This badass is blushing…
Crazy, huh?? These connections really mean something, and even more so when we put the effort in. Feel that kinship with you too, sir.
After reading checking out your post here Chuck I'm kinda wishing I lived in your neck of the woods. Never a dull moment. Good stuff 👍
Thanks much!!
