I'm currently anticipating our first camping adventure in Harold (our subaru outback) over the 4th of July weekend in Caseville, MI :)

Ack! So bummed I missed CM with you two!! And loved this take, Brenda… the dark side of abundance, and yet, surprise abides. We just have to turn over our own rocks.

Thanks. Jeremy Wheeler is inspiring. Wasn’t sure what to expect but it was Craic as they say in Ireland.

Like that old Heinz ketchup commercial. There was something about that glass bottle and slow pour that added to the enjoyment of the food.

I like that idea of sensory triggers you mentioned. I get that sometimes making coffee. Lately, I've switched back to pour-over coffee rather than espresso machine. That pour-over method allows me to slow down and watch the water and coffee ground bubble and foam and drip in the filter and drop through to the cup.

I tend to reflect on the coffee grounds, beans, and process as I watch. It's like a weird mix of imagination and hazy memory and connection with the coffee.

I had something similar in Ireland, but with that first taste of instant coffee which drank gallons of it our first trip to Scotland.
